- Shelter & Protection
Reviving India’s Sacred Legacy Shree Dev Narayan Goushala stands as one of India’s largest and most devoted shelters for Desi cows, committed to preserving a sacred heritage that has shaped our culture for centuries. What began in 2023 with just 7 rescued cows in Kota has today grown into a sanctuary that provides food, protection, and lifelong care to more than 2,100 Desi cows and bulls across multiple locations. This number continues to rise every single day as abandoned, injured, starving, and stray Gauvansh find refuge within our gates. Most of the cows we receive are milk-barren, deserted by their owners, or saved from slaughter. They arrive from harsh and painful conditions, but here, they are welcomed with compassion, dignity, and unconditional care. Our Goushala is lovingly run by saints and hundreds of dedicated Gausewaks, who work tirelessly around the clock to ensure every cow is fed, sheltered, and nurtured. We do not exploit these cows for milk; instead, whatever milk they naturally produce is distributed freely to saints, tapaswis, Gausewaks, and ashrams. At Shree Dev Narayan Goushala, every life matters. Every cow is family. And every day, our mission grows stronger as more abandoned Gauvansh find a safe home and a renewed chance at life.
Our Mission || Our Vision
“Reviving Dharma Through Cow Protection.” To create a self-reliant, harmonious society by supporting sustainable practices, providing shelter, food and medical support to Desi cows and Gauvansh. We aim to promote health and wellness for Gauvansh and humans alike, foster a culture of compassion, and preserve India’s spiritual and cultural legacy. Through our work, we aspire to inspire communities to embrace eco-friendly living and uphold the sanctity of nature.

An Eternal Bond of Dharma, Blessings & Bhakti
In Sanatan Dharma, Gaumata is not merely an animal—she is sacred, nurturing, and divine. Adopting a Desi cow is a rare spiritual privilege: an opportunity to serve the mother who sustains gods, humans, and all living beings. Through this seva, one receives immeasurable punya, inner peace, and divine grace. A Desi cow blesses every aspect of life:
